John A. Bardis
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
John Bardis

John A. Bardis has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MedAssets since its founding in June, 1999. Mr. Bardis has more than 25 years experience in the healthcare industry. Beginning with American Hospital Supply and Baxter International, he held various senior management positions, including Vice President of the Baxter Operating Room Division and General Manager of the Eastern Zone. Mr. Bardis left Baxter in 1987 to join Kinetic Concepts. Kinetic Concepts, a NASDAQ traded company (KNCI) was the nation's largest specialty bed and medical equipment rental company at the time of his departure as President in 1992. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Bardis was President and CEO of TheraTx, Inc. TheraTx, another NASDAQ traded company (THTX) was a leading provider of rehabilitation services and operator of skilled nursing facilities. In 1995, TheraTx was named the second fastest growing public company in America by INC. Magazine, growing from $15mm to over $500mm in 5 years. Mr. Bardis was named Entrepreneur of the year by INC Magazine in 1995. Mr. Bardis graduated with a B.S. in Business from the University of Arizona. He serves on the board of USA wrestling, the National governing body for amateur wrestling, The Health Careers Foundation, Heart for Africa, and is Chairman of the Atlanta Fire Youth Hockey Club. Bardis was also named Team Leader of the U.S. Greco-Roman Wrestling Team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and served as Team Leader in the 2007 World Championships where Team USA won the world team title for the first time in wrestling history.

Rand A. Ballard
Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Customer Officer
Rand Ballard

Rand Ballard serves as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Customer Officer for MedAssets, Inc. His responsibilities include developing leadership, training, and accountability for all the various functions for MedAssets businesses. Prior to joining MedAssets, Rand's most recent experience was at Cardinal Healthcare. He was accountable for implementing contracts with subsequent annual sales of $1.6 Billion. Mr. Ballard holds an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University with a triple major in finance, operations, and marketing. Rand was a deans' list undergraduate at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentration in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, and business law. In addition to his position at MedAssets, Rand serves as immediate past Chairman of the Board of the Meals on Wheels Association of America Foundation, Chair of Healthcare Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA), and is Vice President of Health Careers Foundation, a non-profit organization addressing the employment needs of our returning veterans, under the Hire Heroes USA program.

L. Neil Hunn
Chief Financial Officer and President, Revenue Cycle Technology
L. Hunn

Neil Hunn is currently Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and President of MedAssets Revenue Cycle Technology business. Mr. Hunn joined MedAssets as Vice President of Corporate Development in October 2001 and was named Senior Vice President of Corporate Development in 2005. Later, Mr. Hunn served as President, MedAssets Net Revenue Systems until he became the Chief Financial Officer in the second quarter, 2007. He was named President of MedAssets Revenue Cycle Technology business in January 2010. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Hunn was the Segment Executive for Professional Services and Director of Business Development for CMGI where he oversaw the operations of CMGI's professional services division. Prior to his duties as Segment Executive, Mr. Hunn lead the corporate and merger strategy for several CMGI business units. Before CMGI, Mr. Hunn worked for both The Parthenon Group and Deloitte Consulting where he worked on strategic growth as well as corporate turn-around strategies in technology, retail, and hospitality industries. Mr. Hunn received his MBA from Harvard University in 1998 and graduated summa cum laude from Miami University (Ohio) with degrees in Finance and Accountancy.

Jonathan H. Glenn
Chief Legal and Administrative Officer
Jonathan Glenn

Jonathan H. Glenn is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer of MedAssets. His areas of responsibility also include risk management, corporate governance and compliance, and governmental affairs. Mr. Glenn received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1975 and was in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland, until 1992, when he became Vice President and General Counsel to PersonaCare, Inc., a long-term and subacute care provider. He became Vice President and General Counsel of TheraTx, Inc., a publicly-traded provider of rehabilitative therapy and subacute care upon its acquisition of PersonaCare in 1994, and served in that capacity until 1997. Mr. Glenn joined MedAssets in March, 2000.

Scott E. Gressett
Chief Accounting Officer
Scott Gressett

Scott Gressett has served as our Chief Accounting Officer since June 2007. Mr. Gressett joined MedAssets at its founding as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller and was named Senior Vice President of Finance in October 2004. From 1995 until June 1999, Mr. Gressett held Controller positions with companies in the manufacturing and family entertainment industries. In addition, Mr. Gressett has previously worked for Ernst & Young, LLP serving clients in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Mr. Gressett is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting.

Nicholas J. Sears M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Nicholas Sears

Nick Sears, M.D. serves as Chief Medical Officer for MedAssets, Inc. Dr. Sears joined MedAssets through Aspen Healthcare Metrics as Senior Vice President of Clinical Services in 2004. Dr. Sears is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience as a cardiothoracic surgeon and physician executive. He practiced Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery for 12 years in both the private and academic settings. He served as Vice-chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vice-chief of Surgery at Tampa General Hospital, and as Co-Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program. He also held the position of Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Sears has an extensive background in the healthcare consulting industry. He is recognized for being a catalyst for instituting and managing improvement in patient care and clinical outcomes, medical staff governance and operations issues and improved financial performance in healthcare organizations.

Maureen A. Gender
President, Spend Management Segment
Maureen Gender

Maureen Gender serves as President of MedAssets Spend Management segment. In this role, in addition to the enterprise-wide implementations within the company, she will be responsible for MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, MedAssets Analytical Systems, Dominic & Irvine, Sales Administration and Aspen Cost Management. Previously Maureen had been Senior Vice President, Customer Implementation. In this role, she was responsible for enterprise-wide customer implementations within the company.

An employee of MedAssets for over 15 years, she has worked most recently as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Implementation. In this role, Maureen and her Team have implemented over 42 customers in the past 4 years. Prior positions within MedAssets include Regional Director, the first Director of Program Implementation, and Vice President, Implementation. Combined with experience working with a local hospital association, she has over 25 years experience in healthcare GPO.

In 2006, Maureen was the recipient of the company's President's Award recognizing significant value to the organization. Maureen is based in St. Louis.

Allen W. Hobbs
President, Customer Management & Sales
Allen Hobbs

Allen is President, Customer Management & Sales. Allen joined MedAssets (OSI) in 1996 as Owner, Principal and Executive Vice President. Prior to MedAssets, Allen was Executive Vice President Sales and CEO for Transcend Services, Inc., a Medical Records outsourcing company, from 1992 to 1996. From 1980 to 1992, Allen held various positions within HBOC, Inc., now McKesson. In his last two positions, he served as Senior Vice President International Business Development, and President, Medical Systems Support. Allen graduated from the University of Georgia in 1980 with a BBA in Finance and a minor concentration in Computer Science.

R. Lynn Howard
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
R. Howard

Lynn Howard joined MedAssets in December 2000 as Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining MedAssets, Lynn was Director of Human Resources for hSupply.com, a hospitality procurement company. From 1993 until 1999, Lynn was Director of Employment for Talus Solutions,a revenue management software development company. Throughout her career, Lynn has been responsible for developing solid human resources programs in rapidly growing companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Shorter College and has achieved the human resources certification distinction of PHR.
